This Privacy Policy describes how whereh ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Camera Usage

Our App requests access to your device's camera. This access is strictly used for the following purposes:

  • Receipt Scanning: To recognize food items and expiration dates from receipt images.
  • Item Identification: To visually identify items you wish to add to your inventory.

We do not secretly record or store images without your explicit action. Images captured for processing are either processed locally on your device or temporarily transmitted to our secure servers for analysis and are not permanently stored unless you choose to save them as an item attachment.

1.2 User Data

If you create an account, we store:

  • Email address (for authentication)
  • Application data (inventory lists, shopping lists) stored in our database (Supabase).
  • Anonymous usage data (if you choose to use Guest Mode).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the App's core functionality (inventory tracking).
  • To authenticate you and sync your data across devices.
  • To improve the accuracy of our receipt recognition features.

3. Third-Party Services

We may use the following third-party services to facilitate our App's functionality:

  • Supabase: For database hosting and authentication.
  • Google ML Kit: For on-device text recognition and image processing.

These third parties have access to your Personal Data only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained only as long as your account is active. You may request the deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by:

  1. Using the "Delete Account" feature within the App's settings (if signed in).
  2. Sending a request to our support email: junseob.noh@gmail.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request".

We will process your deletion request within 14 days.
